If you don't know who Jeremy Scott is, we can describe him best as an artist that happens to design clothing. Known mostly for his irreverent manipulation of iconography in unforgettably wacky prints, Jeremy Scott is easily one of the most innovative and creative minds in the business. A good friend of ours recently interviewed Scott for a big glossy (soon to be published, so we can't cite or credit it), and noted how surprisingly laid back and modest he was considering his flamboyant and quirky designs.
We got a sneak peek of the interview and were amazed at how thoughtful and articulate he is. We totally get the cult following now. Come on, this is fashion, where most designers are awful at describing themselves, rotating worn out cliches to describe their lives and designs. Jeremy Scott's mind is sharp, his vision authentic, his disposition humble, and his complete disregard for commercial and runway trend invigorating and quite necessary.
In 2006, Jeremy Scott and Ksubi collaborated for "Jeremy Loves Ksubi." The two are at it again, and that's great for fans of both. Oh, we've got the pants! Grab 'em quick.
