Icon-rightIcon-down about the designer
Under a bridge in Portland, Oregon is where DB Clay got their start selling billfolds made of duct tape. Since then the company has evolved to become an eco-friendly line that sells—you guessed it—wallets! The initial handmade wallets were called Ductbills which got abbreviated to “DB,” and “Clay” arose from the notion of malleability and of the company’s enthusiasm to change and adapt to the the planet's needs.

Their Version 3 wallets are made of Tope—a superdurable, water-resistant material akin to synthetic fabric but without any of the hazardous toxins. Tope is also biodegradable and vegan. In addition, DB Clay prints nature-inspired images onto their wallets with environmentally friendly inks. They’ve moved out from underneath that bridge, but you can still call them wallet junkies if you want to. We’d rather call them clever.
