Icon-rightIcon-down about the designer
Private school gets a bad rap, but clearly public school is where the real rebellion occurs. Just ask Public School designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne. Both veterans of the New York City public school system, Chow is the former creative director of Sean John while Osborne also used to design for Diddy’s line. The duo followed their instincts and left to create Public School, representing their urban attitude with refined garments that have wearable appeal. Fostering a vision that combines a subversive attitude with a hunger for knowledge, the label’s signature logo is an apple and a feather.

We see a little bit of Run DMC, a dash of military and a hint of punky prep in Chow and Osborne’s current collection. Some might call it old school meets new school, but we’d have to say this bad-to-the-bone clothing line is simply Public School. Not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good.
