According to legend, three-time Wimbledon champion and famed tennis player Fred Perry would yell “very clevah” whenever an opponent would make a particularly good shot. Supposedly this “very clevah” got very old when competing against Perry, but the talents we are interested in have more to do with design than sports. The Fred Perry laurel leaf is an icon of sportswear, and has been worn on and off the court since the late ‘40s.
