Comme des Garçons Play is a collaboration between legendary Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo and renowned New York graphic and textile designer Filip Pagowski. Play is a fun and accessible incarnation of Comme des Garçons, recognized by Pagowski’s endearing bug-eyed heart logo. The red heart is the most familiar, but you’ll occasionally see its green and black cousins. Pagowski’s eccentric logo fits Kawakubo’s penchant for turning something strange into something beautiful and coveted. Comme des Garçons Play used to only be carried at Comme des Garçons’ famous guerrilla stores (which are open just 12 months before closing up and moving to a new city), but can now be had at Tobi for men and women.
