According to Anzevino and Florence, sometimes catastrophes become trophies. Sometimes works of art become clothing, and we are grateful to designers William Anzevino and Richard Florence for entering the fashion realm.
After these artists opened themselves to fashion by creating a line of T-shirts for the Andy Warhol Museum, the duo were inspired to begin their own clothing label. By fusing their own artwork, architectural lines, and nature-based design, they fashioned a very unique clothing line and recently opened their own storefront on Hollywood Boulevard, blending an art gallery with retail space.
This season’s collection initiates a move toward high fashion with sculptural detail and supersoft fabrication. Finding inspiration in a range of sources, from fencing attire to tree bark, Anzevino and Florence have made apparel for those who strive to find unique, statement-making pieces without sacrificing quality.
