Founded by French Canadian designer Gloria Brandes in 1986, BB Dakota originated as a storefront in sunny Laguna Beach, California. But when contrasted with the laid-back surf and skate styles of the area, Brandes' penchant for standing out in a crowd shone through.

Once only known by savvy fashion editors and Orange County locals, the secret of BB Dakota's funky yet affordable clothing leaked out in 2005. Now BB Dakota is in high demand but remains only in select boutiques. Lucky us!

Jack By BB Dakota takes the same trendy-yet-affordable aesthetic and fuses it with a bit more playful polish. The Fall collection hosts our favorite pattern of the season--plaid--and makes it that much more wearable.
