When we think of prairies, a certain little house in a very prim and proper time comes to mind. But Prairie Underground flips that image on its head, with its laid-back, eco chic sensibility. Based in Seattle, this line of wearable knits fuses organic cotton with funky and flattering design.

But designers Davora Lindner and Camilla Eckersley haven’t abandoned that prairie completely. Both women were raised in Lincoln, Nebraska where they met at a high school party and found a shared love for unique fashion. Even though they’ve left the Midwest, they still show hints of prairie flavor here and there, making it approachable and feminine.
